What we source
We source across apparel and fashion, home textiles, and technical or industrial fabrics. This includes men's, women's, and children's clothing; bed linen, towels, and curtains; woven and knitted fabrics by the roll; and speciality textiles for industrial or protective applications.
Turkey's textile industry is vertically integrated, meaning fibre, yarn, weaving, dyeing, and finishing often happen within the same region, which keeps quality consistent and supply chains short. Balkan manufacturers, particularly in Bosnia, offer smaller minimum order quantities suited to niche or growing brands.
EU compliance we handle
- REACH regulation: We verify that textiles do not contain restricted substances above permitted thresholds, required for all textile products sold in the EU.
- EU fibre labelling: All garments and textiles sold in the EU must carry accurate fibre composition labels in Dutch or the language of the destination market. We coordinate this with manufacturers.
- OEKO-TEX and GOTS: Where required by your buyers, we source from certified facilities and arrange the relevant documentation.
- EU customs union (Turkey): Turkey's customs union with the EU since 1995 means simplified import procedures and, in many cases, zero or reduced import duties for textile products.
Why Turkey rather than Asia for textiles
Lead times from Turkish textile manufacturers to Rotterdam average 2 to 3 weeks by road or short sea, versus 8 to 12 weeks from Bangladesh or Vietnam. Minimum order quantities are generally lower. Quality inspection is feasible in person. And post-2021 container rate increases have significantly closed the price gap that once made Asia attractive purely on unit cost.
