How it works

How to import from Bosnia, Serbia, or Turkey to the Netherlands or Belgium

Every engagement follows the same structured process. This protects both buyer and supplier, ensures compliance documentation is in order before anything ships, and gives you a clear timeline from the start.

  1. 01

    Initial request and brief

You tell us what you need: product type, quantity, quality specification, destination, and timeline. We assess whether the Balkans or Turkey is a realistic fit for your requirements and give you an honest answer within one business day. If it is not a fit, we tell you that too.

  2. 02

    NCND agreement

Before we share any supplier names or introduce any parties, we sign a Non-Circumvention, Non-Disclosure Agreement. This protects your commercial information and ensures that the introduction cannot be used to bypass our involvement in future orders.

  3. 03

    Supplier identification and vetting

We identify the best matching manufacturer from our network, or conduct new supplier research if needed. We verify capacity, quality track record, compliance certification, and financial stability before making any introduction. Where appropriate, we visit the factory in person. You receive a supplier profile with our assessment before any commitment is made.

  4. 04

    Price negotiation and order placement

We negotiate pricing using local market knowledge that you cannot replicate from Benelux. The price you are quoted is the delivered price including our margin. Payment terms are structured to protect both parties: typically a deposit on order placement and the balance before shipment, or via letter of credit for larger orders.

  5. 05

    Compliance, quality check, and shipment

We arrange all compliance documentation specific to your product: EUTR and FSC/PEFC for wood, REACH declarations for textiles, sanitary certificates for food, CE documentation for regulated products. We conduct a quality inspection at the factory before the container is loaded. Freight is booked, customs is cleared, and you receive tracking updates from factory gate to your warehouse.

  6. 06

    Delivery and recurring orders

The container arrives. If everything is to specification, which it should be given the pre-shipment check, we schedule the next order. Most of our clients move from trial order to regular monthly or quarterly shipments. The process becomes more efficient with each cycle as supplier relationships mature and documentation is standardised.

Frequently asked questions

How does Nomad V Growth get paid?

We earn a margin on each container, built into the price you are quoted. You pay one all-in price for the goods delivered to your door. There is no separate visible broker fee on your invoice.

How long from first contact to first delivery?

For stock items, typically 6 to 10 weeks. For made-to-order items, 10 to 16 weeks. The longest variable is manufacturing lead time, not logistics.

What if goods arrive damaged or off-spec?

We conduct quality checks at the factory before loading, which catches most issues before shipment. If problems arise on arrival, we manage the resolution directly with the manufacturer. You have one point of contact and do not manage a cross-border dispute yourself.

Do I need to sign a contract?

Yes. We use an NCND agreement before introducing any parties, and a commercial agreement covering each order. These protect all parties and set out the process clearly.

What is the minimum order size?

We typically work with full container loads (20ft or 40ft). This is where the economics of trade brokerage make sense for both sides. For smaller initial orders, contact us and we will discuss whether a shared container arrangement is feasible.

Can you source products not listed on your website?

Yes. Our four listed categories cover the core of our current supplier network, but the underlying skills (sourcing, negotiation, compliance, logistics) apply to most manufactured goods. Contact us with your product and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
